Pondok Apsari is a Bali accommodation special. The house grew around a more than 100-year old rice barn. The creator of this bohemian piece of art is Dutch artist Karien Froeling. The building grew during the years she was living there. Since 2015 it has been a successful rental location. Pondok Apsari is an unusual house where inside and outside inextricably flow. Karien created a beautiful garden, and the remaining part is still an original ricefield (sawah). About three times a year, we harvest 100 kg of rice.
Pondok Apsari is a beautiful private eco-friendly glamping accommodation in the middle of a trekking and hiking area. The “Secret Garden of Sambangan.”
